Obituary of Gloria J. Szabo

Gloria J. Szabo 96 of Poughkeepsie, died on Wednesday November 21, 2018 at the Mid Hudson Medical Center.

Gloria was born in Poughkeepsie on August 4, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Louis and the late Theresa PerianoLaRegina.

Gloria was a local resident all of her life. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and St. Ann's Society. 

Gloria was the family historian, she always took pictures and made videos of all family events, and she was a seamstress for everyone in the family and neighborhood.

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Gloria J. Ottavio and her husband Peter of Ballston Lake, NY, her daughter in-law, Donna Szabo of Hyde Park. Gloria is also survived by her grandchildren, Keely Szabo, Brendan Szabo, Daniel Ottavio, Katherine Ottavio Kent , her great grandchildren Adam Szabo, William Szabo, Alexandria Szabo, Sarah Anne Szabo, Hunter Szabo, Zachary Odell, Ella Ottavio and Clara Ottavio and a nephew and several nieces and cousins.

Gloria was predeceased by her son Robert Szabo, sisters Catherine Piotti, Dorothy Berardi and brother Frank LaRegina.

Calling Hours will take place on Wednesday November 28, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home 371 Hooker Ave. Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. Funeral Services will be 10:30am Thursday November 29, 2018 at the Funeral Home with Burial to Follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.
