Obituary of Nancy Y Reeves

Nancy Reeves was a kind-hearted, warm and loving woman who dedicated her life to those she loved. To know her, was to love her. Originally from the Bronx, Nancy made the Hudson Valley her home more than 30 years ago. Nancy raised her son Steven in Newburgh and married her husband Sam in Poughkeepsie. She was passionate about her job as a Correctional Officer at Green Haven Correctional Facility and proud to become the EAP coordinator. Nancy was a lover of traveling, gardening, motorcycles, and most recently, Chickens! Nancy was a supportive wife, trusted friend, amazing sister, caring daughter, fun-loving aunt and most importantly devoted mother and grandmother. She always enjoyed a good laugh, a good time and a great Margarita! Nancy will be missed by many, but her spirit will live on in the wonderful memories she created with all those who knew her. She is resting peacefully and is now our sweet angel in heaven.
