Obituary of James J. Dankelman Jr.

James J. Dankelman, Jr., 84, of Millbrook, NY passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at home.  Born on November 2, 1936 in New York, NY, he was the son of the late James J. Dankelman, Sr. and the late Frances Zwally.  Jim had worked as an Engineer for IBM in Fishkill, NY and was also a self employed consultant for IBM Canada.  Jim was a member of the BPOE #275, was a life member of the Beekman Fire Department, as well as past Fire Commissioner and was past town supervisor for the town of Beekman.  He served in the Air National Guard and he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Jim married Michelle West and she predeceased him.  Jim is survived by Alicia Dankelman his daughter-in-law of Stormville, NY and his son Joseph Edward Dankelman of Wyoming and his grandchildren Kyle and Kimberly.  Jim was predeceased by his son James P. Dankelman, sister Judith Demmers and brother Peter Dankelman.  The Family would like to thank his aide's for taking great care of Jim.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 from 4:00 - 7:00pm at the Timothy P.
