We are so very sorry and surprised to hear of Mia’s passing! I had just left a message for her a couple weeks ago to meet for lunch. We send our sincere sympathy to her family, especially Nicholas! Mia, Stemi and Nicholas were our special neighbors for many years. I’m sorry that we couldn’t attend her services but we were battling Covid! Once again, our condolences to all…Nicholas if you’re ever in town, please surprise us with a visit!!

Hal and I are so very sorry for the loss of Mia, an extraordinary teacher, person and mother. Both of our children had her for French in middle school and we also worked with her as an Arlington colleague. Such a kind, fun, thoughtful and always-smiling person. She will be missed by so many.

My sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers to the family of Mia, who I remember and knew as Miss. Pagones.
She was my French teacher at Arlington Jr. High, and I went on the trip to Quebec with her two years simultaneously. She was a lovely woman and a wonderful teacher, and I will never forget all she taught me over the two years in her classes.
May God send you peace and strength in the days to come of her passing.

I taught with Mia many years at Arlington Middle School, and she was always so kind and generous. I remember her baking a cake for Toni Forsythe and I towards the end of the school year because we had Summer birthdays, unlike those who had birthdays that were celebrated during the school year. Oh, and her baklava was legendary. After I had some for the first time, I told her how much I liked it, so she made a bunch for me. That’s just the way she was. I feel fortunate to have had her for a friend, and colleague, and will very much miss her. R.I.P., Mia
